Another educational day for Bermuda Princess

It was a second day the races for Bermuda Racing’s homebred two-year-old filly (Kingman ex Queen Of Bermuda).

Coming on massively from her first run, the William Haggas-trained Bermuda Princess hit the stalls well and travelled much more straightforward with the rest of the field this time round. Early on in the race, our Kingman filly looked to be in a nice rhythm, travelling forward with good pace. The ground, officially described as good-to-soft was continually drying throughout the day and this proved to be a bit too testing for our young filly who couldn’t keep travelling with the same zest.

Finishing 6th of 8, there were still some positives to take from this run at Bath. See below as Simon Scupham of Bermuda Racing gives his post-race analysis:

"Another step on the education ladder for Bermuda princess. She is learning, albeit slowly, but going in the right direction. Some horses just take a bit longer than others to get the hang of racing. Adam (jockey) reported that she wasn’t in-love with the ground which was continually drying and had become tacky and testing. He was getting a good feeling from her 3-furlongs out and from that, he wouldn’t have thought she would have finished where she did. Lots of positives to take from today and she should definitely come on for the run!"
