Exciting horizons for Bermuda Racing
The anticipation continues to build for Bermuda Racing’s most recent purchase. On behalf of Simon Scupham’s Bermuda Racing operation, Jake Warren of Highclere Agency secured an outstanding Dark Angel filly from Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale with the resulting bid of £340,000.

A hugely exciting racing, yet also breeding prospect, she fits perfectly into the sustainable ethos of Bermuda Racing, whose model is to ultimately breed from the horses that are purchased.
I am thrilled with the acquisition of the very exciting Dark Angel filly at the recent Goffs UK Breeze-Up Sale. In addition to her impressively fast breeze, there were so many good vibes around her and she came with such an amazing pedigree. She was simply a must-have for Bermuda Racing! We are also so very pleased that she will be trained by the very successful Andrew Balding and his team at his amazing Park House Stables facility at Kingsclere.

The Highclere Agency/Bermuda Racing partnership has already seen success from the breeze-up sales. Previous purchases include Queen Of Bermuda, winner of the Gr.3 Firth of Clyde Stakes, Spirit Of Bermuda, a smart black-type filly in America, as well as Pink Sands, a very good filly by Nay Never who beat the Lowther winner Living In The Past.
It is with little wonder that this new purchase will be an exciting filly to follow. By a top-class juvenile in Dark Angel; a leading sire of sprinters, this new two-year-old is out of Dubai Power, a winning half-sister to the stakes-placed Power Of Light; dam of Gr.2 May Hill Stakes scorer and Gr.1 Fillies’ Mile second Powerful Breeze.
Jake Warren reflected: “She’s just a beautiful filly, by a top sire and I love the pedigree. This filly’s pedigree suits us because her half-sister has produced a top-class horse, and the way this filly breezed was phenomenal. She is very good looking, correct, clean and with good size. She will be a lovely two-year-old to race and hopefully breed from down the line.”
