Flora Of Bermuda runs a blinder
It’s always a dream to have a runner at Royal Ascot and it was certainly an exciting day for Bermuda Racing as two-year-old Flora Of Bermuda lined up in the Gr.2 Queen Mary Stakes.

A 5f sprint that attracts some of the best juvenile fillies from across the world, this was a race steeped in class and Flora certainly left her mark.
Racing on the far side under James Doyle, Flora Of Bermuda was leading the pack a furlong out and showed her true game spirit. Despite being on the slower side of the track, Flora won her race on the far side and kept stretching her neck out, fighting to the line where she was just touched into sixth (out of 26) from the resulting nearside group. An incredibly strong performance in this prestigious race and already we are looking forward to seeing Flora on the racecourse again. What an exciting filly she is!
“We could not be happier with Flora’s run in the Group 2 Queen Mary. She ran an absolute blinder coming 6th in a field of 26 very talented fillies, actually winning her race on the slower, far side of the track. To achieve this given her fitness was touch and go leading up to her declaration and given the draw was not in her favour, she really did do us proud… so much to look forward to with this amazing filly.” - Simon Scupham
